New Witch Skincare: Micellar Water & Daily Primer + Clearing Serum

As you may know, a few weeks back I was invited to attend a Witch Skin Care event in London along with three other bloggers. As part of the event we were exclusively introduced to the two new Witch Skin Care products before they had even hit the shelves. It all felt very fancy.

The first of the new products is the Witch Micellar Water. Now I have to admit that I can be very lazy when it comes to makeup removal and I tend to just go for the makeup wipe option (the Witch makeup wipes are actually really good). However since being given this product to try, I've really been doing my best to cleanse every morning and evening. I've definitely got into the habit now so that's always good... and I'm sure my skin is very thankful.

Anyway, back to the product! What I love about this is that a little goes a long way. All you need is a few drops on a cotton wool pad and it's more than enough to clean away all your makeup. I've found that after using it my skin feels so refreshed and glowing.

The second of the new products is the Daily Primer & Clearing Serum. Oh how I adore this product. What I love about this is that it combines two great things. Not only does it help to control spots, it also helps to keep your makeup on. Oh and it really does. While using this I manage to maintain a full face of makeup over the course of a day or even throughout a night out without any major need for top ups.

I love both of these products and have really noticed the difference in my skin after using them religiously for a few weeks. I'm experiencing less break outs and my skin is definitely clearer than it was before. I am forever recommending Witch skincare products as I find them to be so effective yet so inexpensive for what they are!

The two products are available to buy in store and online. The Micellar Water is available from Boots here and the primer is available from Superdrug here

Biscuiteers, London

Whilst I was away on my weekend in London, Vicky (vvnightingale) introduced me to the cutest little café - Biscuiteers on Northcote road. Biscuiteers are a luxury biscuit boutique offering a great range of the most perfect hand iced biscuits.

We stopped for a little midday latté and of course biscuit treat.

Being the hopeless romantic that I am, I opted for a heart shaped vanilla biscuit with the lettering, 'I Love You' on it. Let's just imagine that some dreamy guy bought it for me rather than me buying it for myself okay? Vicky chose a lilac and blue chocolate flower biscuit which unintentionally colour coordinated with my teal coloured biscuit very nicely.

My biscuit was very delicious.. but really, when can you go wrong with a biscuit? It was crunchy but not overly crunchy and the icing added nice sweetness. I could have easily eaten five. I also couldn't really fault the latte as it had the perfect coffee strength and foamy milkiness. I decided to be truly British and enjoy the biscuit dunked into the latté. A somewhat fancier equivalent of a custard cream dipped into a cup of tea.

Here you can see more of the range of biscuits that you could choose from. Aren't they just so pretty and colourful?! At £3 each they're quite expensive for a small biscuit but each one is ever so perfectly iced and let's not forget that it is a 'luxury biscuit boutique' after all!

If biscuits aren't really your thing, then they also offer a dreamy range of cakes and pastries. I definitely had my eye on that amazing looking red velvet cake * drools *.

Behind the biscuit making counter there are the most incredible novelty cakes up on shelves. They seriously look more like pieces of art than something you would actually eat. Cake making goals.

This little gingerbread man ski scene was in the front window of the café. How cute!

I loved the whole feel and decor of the café. Lots of patterns and pretty pastel colours. I also like how it's a shop as well so you can buy biscuit sets, chocolate and other cute things - perfect little gift ideas.

I definitely want to come back the next time i'm in London as it was a very enjoyable café stop. Reason 374837 why I wish I lived in London: so I can visit the numerous cute and quirky café's.

Have you ever been to Biscuiteers?

A Weekend In London & Blogger Friendship

You may already know that I went on a little trip to London last weekend. It was partly because of the Witch Skin Care event but also so that I could FINALLY meet Victoria aka vvnightingale. Me and Vicky found each other through our blogs and our friendship blossomed last year over our shared love of Eurovision.

Since then we have been speaking basically non-stop about pretty much everything. We had both joked about how awkward it would be if we didn't actually get on in person but crisis averted, we got on just as well. Oh and neither of us turned out to be evil murderers so it all turned out for the best really. lol..

Of course we had to have a little selfie sesh. Or two.

Vicky very kindly let me stay at her amazing house in such a lovely area of London.. which I'm so totally not jealous of * eyes emoji *. We went to Wagamama, Biscuiteers, strolled round Chelsea and perused the pretty shops, gossiped, watched Catfish (which i'm now hooked on). Vicky also introduced me to Wasabi which I think is my new favourite food place. I just want Wasabi sushi all day every day please.

Oh and can we just talk about how ADORABLE Vicky's dog (Molly) is?! SO CUTE!

I had such a lovely time in London and already can't wait to go back.

The Exclusive Witch Skincare Event

Last Saturday I was lucky enough to be invited to a Witch Skin Care event, along with three other lovely bloggers - Rhianna, Abi & Gemma. The event was to celebrate 50 years of Witch Skin care as well as giving us an opportunity to see previews of their two new products which are going to be released very soon (more info on those to come).

I just want to start by saying that Witch Skin Care are my favourite brand that I have had the pleasure of working with. Not only do I love their products in general, but the team of people behind them are SO lovely. I can't thank them enough for the opportunities they have given me. So you can probably imagine how excited I was to be invited to the event (very).

The event was held in possibly the most beautiful house I have ever seen. Oh and it was in my favourite area of London, Notting Hill (if you know me you will know how obsessed I am with Notting Hill). The house was basically the definition of house goals. Oh so instagrammable.

When we arrived we were offered a lovely array of refreshments including prosecco (definitely didn't drink three glasses * shifty eyes * ), wraps, sandwiches, popcorn, fruit and brownies. I also spotted the 50th anniversary birthday cake in the corner which as you can see below was a very aesthetically pleasing cake. It was from the Hummingbird Bakery and was absolutely delicious.

After drinking, eating, chatting and taking lots of pretty photos of the swoon-worthy surroundings, we all sat down to find out about the two new Witch products (all to be revealed soon).

Next we were shown how to make floral crowns - not surprisingly something I had never done before. I was pretty proud of what I created and I've also now come to the conclusion that I wish it was acceptable to permanently wear a floral crown. While making them, each blogger was taken off one at a time to get to use some Witch products and have our makeup done. I'd never had my makeup done by someone else before but it was very enjoyable and definitely looked at least ten times better than when I do my makeup myself.

Queue the floral crown selfies ft. bad quality iPhone 5 camera...

After that we played some Witch Skin Care themed games, had some final photos taken and were given an a-m-a-z-i-n-g goody bag. Inside the goody bags were Ladurée macarons, an Oliver Bonas wash bag, flannel, compact mirror, Collection makeup, the new Witch products and two Witch products of our choice (I chose the overnight clearing serum and the makeup wipes).

I left the event still wearing my floral crown and felt like a princess walking round Notting Hill (minus the few strange looks people gave me).

It's not every day that you're sat in the most beautiful house in Notting Hill, sipping procecco and making floral crowns. Starting my blog was such a fabulous decision. It's also amazing to get the chance to meet new people. The three other bloggers and Witch team were all so lovely, making it such an enjoyable afternoon.

A massive thank you again to the team at Witch Skin Care.

My next post will feature the new products once they have been released. I'll also be posting about my brilliant weekend away in London with Victoria. Yay for post inspiration.
